This Mental Health Awareness course provides an introduction to common mental health conditions, helping learners recognise the signs and symptoms that someone may be experiencing difficulties with their mental wellbeing. The course explores the impact mental health can have on individuals, families, and workplaces, while promoting empathy, understanding, and the importance of reducing stigma. Learners will discover how to have supportive conversations, respond appropriately when concerns arise, and encourage individuals to seek professional help when needed. The course also highlights practical ways to promote positive mental wellbeing and create a more supportive and inclusive environment. No previous knowledge is required, making this course suitable for employees, managers, volunteers, carers, and anyone wishing to improve their understanding of mental health. By the end of the course, learners will be able to: Understand what mental health is and why it matters. Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health conditions. Understand the impact mental ill health can have on individuals and those around them. Respond to concerns in a supportive, compassionate, and appropriate manner.
