Two ways salons use this course
Individual professionals
Stylists, therapists, nail techs and barbers who see under-18s or vulnerable clients in the chair. Add a recognised safeguarding certificate to your portfolio and know where you stand if something doesn't feel right.
Salon owners & employers
If you supervise apprentices or employ staff who work with young people, safeguarding training is part of showing you take that duty seriously. Enrol your team and keep the certificates on file.
THE SYLLABUS
Six modules, twenty-four lessons
Written for a salon floor, not a classroom. Every module ends where the last one left off, and the final test confirms you've understood it.

VTCT approved centre
Finish the six modules and pass the test, and your CPD Certificate of Attendance is issued straight away — worth 5 CPD points, and evidence for your insurer, your local authority or a client who asks.
How Long Does it Take?
It's self-paced across 24 short lessons. Do it in one sitting or ten minutes at a time between clients - your progress is saved.
Is it recognised?
Academy of Training is a VTCT approved centre with EliteMark CPD accreditation. The certificate carries 5 CPD points.
